Our Story

How this story began……

I love creating jewellery where every single piece is unique unlike fast fashion and copies, we see today. My pieces may be similar, but they are not the same nor are they perfectly matched. Just as we are unique and not perfect, I choose to find the beauty in the uniqueness of each piece I make.

Back when I was a dessert chef, I would often make new recipes by picking my favourite bits from different recipes and combining them to make something new.  When asked what the dish was, I would say ‘it’s an a la Mic meaning made in my style.

I have discovered a new creative passion in jewellery making.  I often combine my favourite colours of the moment and different techniques to explore and create new pieces, this is why the name a la Mic was chosen.

I enjoy creating bespoke pieces to match outfits, existing pieces of jewellery or custom pieces to celebrate a special milestone. This saves you the hunt for the perfect piece.

I want my pieces to help you feel special, not a copy of someone else. Be proud to be unique and celebrate your beauty, imperfections and all.
